I've just installed Windows 10. I had to insert the PSP9 setup disc for a file update, but it's retained version 9.01 and my custom toolbars etc are unaffected.

Thus far it appears that there are no problems using PSP9 with this version of Windows.
27th-Jan-2014 10:08 pm - Hello ? Anyone here ? Moderators ?
Two years ago, there has been spoken of reviving this community with new tutorials.

But it has remained silent, wich is regrettable. There is a lack of communities like this, with Paintshop Pro tutorials, perhaps because the majority of people use Photoshop ?

Anyway, I just wondered, is there no possibility of this community to return ? I feel there is still so much to learn about PSP.

You have to register with them, but there's a free PSP9+ Star Trail Script Available here.
It's rather pretty and resizes well.

I've started a poll asking people's desktop resolutions. This is to find out what resolutions people are actually using, and I'm hoping to get enough responses to help wallpaper makers.

So I'm trying to follow some tutorials for coloring, but literally all of them are for Photoshop. I know the easy solution would be to just use Photoshop, but I'd much rather just stick with PSP since I've been using it all my life. So the question is: is there a way to do something similar to "selective coloring" in PSP? Any help would be great, thanks!

Trying to open a psp image file and I keep getting this error message, "This postscript file is either not valid or contains unsupported features."

I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and changing the file associations, but it won't let me tick off the little box for psp images being opened with psp.
Any help you guys can give I would be grateful.

Should I just grit my teeth and get the newest version?

4th-Aug-2008 01:45 am - Textures tutorial???
((cross posting, sorry if you see it a few times))

Ive got some pretty awesome 100x100 textures i want to play around with but im not sure how to use them. can somebody point me towards some tutorials? i just have no clue what im doing with them and they are to pretty to sit on the proverbial dusty shelf.
A while ago, I was asked for a tutorial for the below icon of John Barrowman. Because I am lazy a busy person, it took me a while to write it, but it's finally done. So, here's a tute on how to make an icon like this one.

Unfortunately, I didn't save the PSPImage, so I had to guess what I'd done, so the finished product within this tute isn't exactly identical, but the steps are the way I did them. Also, this is written for Paint Shop Pro 9. I don't know if it's translatable. I'm a strictly PSP girl, sorry!

Also, you will need some knowledge of PSP9 and it's various functions. The level of this icon is medium to difficult.

11th-Jan-2008 10:34 am - Vista and PSP9
Ok, so I got a new PC yesterday and PSP9 and AS3.0 installed with no issues. This morning I went to reinstall some brushes and the computer won't let me unzip them to the "My PSP Brushes" folder. I have looked all over this thing to figure out why (I'm guessing Vista doesn't automatically allow a person to make changes to things in the C: drive as I was able to unzip things to Documents) and how to fix it. I'm stumped. Can anyone tell me what I need to do, or point me in the direction of a post/website telling me what to do? I would really appreciate it! This is frustrating. Thank you!

8th-Nov-2007 04:18 pm - Help With Image Sizing
Hi, everyone. I know its been a whule, but I have a question for you. I want to learn how ro take an image that is one size (small), and make it another size (larger), without stretching the image out of proportion. For example, I want to take the image below and increase the size to 940x240 pixels, or continue the background with the clouds to make the image 940x240 pixels, all without making it look all screwy and stretched. Can anyone help me? Thanks.

Since yesterday I've run into the problem of my PSP9 closing down on its own.
So far as I've experimented, using the eraser and brush (attempting to open their "boxes" to choose a shape) or opening the color palette forces PSP to shut down.

How can I correct this problem?

P.S. Does "reporting" an error really do anything? (the error box that pops up every time PSP shuts down) I'd like to know how that whole process works.
